My very first patient who isn't in my program. What a good sport he is...

In clinic my partner decided to take a weekend vacation missing Thursday's class. This meant I wouldn't have a partner to work on and instead would have to observe for 2 hours and then do a 2 hour makeup lab. That was unless I could find a patient to come and work on. This is when my cute husband stepped in. Brett came to school today to let me practice on him and it was so fun for me! He was so good natured the whole time and it was really nice to just work on him and not have to switch half way during clinic to be a patient like I usually have to do. I got to work on him for an hour and a half and it was so exciting that he started to fall asleep. Okay so it wasn't exciting for him, but at least he was comfortable enough to fall asleep right? I passed my process evaluation for scaling his anterior (front) teeth, we did a plaque index, a polishing, flossing and flouride trays. (I hate those flouride trays by the way and prefer varnish anyday....)

Here we are after we finished clinic. Brett's eyes are kind of closed here but the other picture we took is kind of blurry.
So now that you see I have worked on someone and 1. They didn't get hurt 2. Fell asleep because it was so comfortable, it should give you all the more reason to be a patient for me this upcoming winter.
