Halloween

This year Halloween was pretty low key. We decorated and what not, but we did not dress up or do anything very festive. One exciting thing however, it that this year we grew our pumpkins!

Not bad for a first year garden right? We did not plan on three pumpkins growing, but hey we also are not complaining. We decided that one pumpkin would be Lucy's...so please don't think we went out and bought a pumpkin for our dog. It was just by chance that we had three haha

My pumpkin is the Harry Potter symbol, the next pumpkin is Lucy's which is a pug and the last pumpkin is a Stormtrooper which is Brett's. What we chose to carve obviously shows how nerdy we are.

Lucy was the only one who dressed up. When  I saw this template in my Martha Stewart magazine I knew I had to whip these wings up.

I had some leftover felt that I cut out to the template and then I just added glitter glue I had leftover from making spiderweb hurricanes to put around our house. We are dorks, but everyone who saw her thought it was funny and a few people even caught on that the pumpkin we carved was a pug too.

We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
