Convention

This post is mainly for my family. This Friday my school went to the Utah Dental Convention and all the Utah dental hygiene students presented poster boards with information they had worked on. Some people groups did community projects, some did research and it was really interesting to see all the different posters etc. We did our project on Hookah and have researched its oral effects for a long time. This summer we got a ton of articles from BYU about its oral effects and it was a pretty cool topic. For our board we surveyed hookah smokers and dentists and then talked about oral effects with them in order to educate them. My group had to present for 3 hours (people just walked by and would ask about our poster board and we would talk to them about our project) and by the end we were so tired and HUNGRY! My group did really well though and it ended up being a great experience and fun teaching so many people about hookah and why they should educating their patients about it. I know our board isn't amazing but we had good research and information I promise. Also I have to give Brett credit because he made all of our graphs for us because we did not know how to use Excel as well as he did.
