Brett's Birthday Week!

My hottie husband turned 23 this Wednesday and you know what that means.... It was a fun filled Birthday Week! Here are some highlights of his special week:

Thursday-So we started off early celebrating Brett's week....We went to the Draper Temple open house with Drew and Michelle, and with Brett's grandparents. We ate lots of pizza and treats and then enjoyed the beautiful tour. It is so fun to walk through the Temple before it has been dedicated!
Friday- Brett enjoyed free Breakfast from Mimi's Cafe. We ordered it to go and he got chicken fried steak with potatoes, eggs, orange juice and a carrot raisin muffin! Yum! And all free...I love Mimi's. We also went to Quizno's for lunch to each enjoy a free sub. Drew and Michelle were so nice to take us out eat at Chili's which was soooo good! We played Ticket to Ride and finished the night watching Twilight at the dollar theater. The boys were not big fans....

Saturday/Sunday/Monday- We really did not do much to celebrate so we will make have to make up for it next weekend...

Tuesday- My sister and family came and decorated our apartment for Brett. Little G hung streamers where he felt they looked best, which is why our streamers are strung 3ft or lower. Everything is hung at his eye level . Brett and I later went to Tucanos where Brett ate his heart out.

Wednesday- (Brett's REAL Birthday!) Brett got work off so we had a party! My siblings came over and we had dinner and played True Colors. We love that game! Instead of Birthday Cake Brett instead wanted brownie sundaes. So we had traditional brownies and then because I saw this recipe I also decided to make this delicious treat as well. Brett also opened presents and scored big! He got a new shirt, Arrested Development Seasons 2 and 3, new ties, football cleats, and TONS of gift cards! He was so excited. Thank you everyone who gave him a gift and wished him a Happy Birthday!

Thursday-We went to Red Robin to get Brett's free hamburger. They also included bottomless steak fries and it was delicious. We love Red Robin! Afterwards we hit up Del Taco for Brett's free Birthday milkshake.

Friday- Brett had school all day while I ran errands and studied. That evening Brett got a free milkshake from Fuddruckers and we watched Transformers. Brett got a free movie from Hollywood Video for his Birthday and we didn't even know he was a member. I guess it was from his pre-mission days.

Saturday- Brett enjoyed winning his basketball game 81-50 while I went to a baby shower for my cousin's wife. We went to stake conference and afterward got a free ice cream from Coldstone. We then put good use to our new seasons of Arrested Development by watching them all night.

It has been a fun week of celebration for Brett and I am so glad that we are married. I hope you had a great Birthday hun! I love you!

I think "the boys were not big fans" is somewhat of an understatement...but it was still a fun night.
