Easter

Spring is definitely here. The flowers are blooming, and our trees are starting to bud. My favorite season is summer, and I can't wait for warmer weather. The Saturday before Easter we had decent weather and it was warm enough for our ward to do their annual breakfast and Easter egg hunt. Brett had to be on "security" to block the little kids from gathering the eggs while they hid them in the field. When I say hid,  what they really do is pour several bags of eggs over the grass and then let the kids loose. We have a TON of kids in our neighborhood so it was a stampede to the eggs and they got crazy!

On Sunday we got together with Grandma Burton and Aunt June for dinner.

I decorated our place for the season. The frame for the "He is Risen" printable I painted a really pretty mint green so that it would match well with the yellow chevron. It's kind of hard to see in this picture.

Most of my daffodils have bloomed and a third of my tulips are opening. It will be so beautiful when everything has finally bloomed.  I'm so happy to have some color back in the yard! I threw a baby shower with one of my friends this weekend for a girl in our ward. We did the theme, "April showers bring May flowers."  I should have taken pictures of the shower because it was super cute, but I was a little busy setting everything up. We used these flowers from my yard for the party and I loved how the centerpieces turned out. Everyone at the shower touched the flowers because they couldn't believe they were real haha.

It is so fun to have fresh cut flowers in the house now!
