Craft Pictures

This post is for Jean because she requested what crafts I made. This picture has three things I made. The banner for the hutch is like what I did for Halloween and the star of course you saw in our last post. The table topper for our kitchen table was made following the directions here and it was super easy. Like honestly I think it took me 10 minutes and I suck at sewing. The table topper should be paired with a table cloth, but our table is so small I just used it as is :)

Then I found these blocks for super cheap (8 for $2) and created countdowns for different holidays using this tutorial.  I borrowed someones Cricut so it was super easy to put together.
(Halloween, Fourth of July, Valentines Day....What should my last set count down to? I was thinking maybe a Birthday Countdown?)

Last, I finally made an apron that I had put off for lets say seven months. Yes I know I am lazy. The pattern and fabric was given to me at an office party by one of the dental assistants and I never got around to it with moving into our house etc. I had most of it finished for the last few months, but needed my mom to help me with the flounce because it just was not working out for me. Turns out I had cut the pattern out wrong (duh why it didn't work...) so we had to add little ruffles on the sides of the flounce to make the flounce long enough. My apron even has a cute little pocket to use. My hair is covering the top but it is pink with green buttons to match.
Also unrelated to crafts, my Sperry's (what I am wearing above) are my FAVORITE shoes right now. I got them this summer when I was in Oregon, and I want to know how I went this long without owning a pair? Brett likes to tease me about my boat shoes, but seriously they are amazing and I cannot stop wearing them!

I got the blocks at DI haha Another cheap way is to buy a fence post. I think it's a 4x4 and then you cut them into 4 inch blocks using a saw and then sanding them. That's what I did for blocks for my mother in law and I made them like the ones from little birdie secrets where it can spell something out for each season. If you buy a post it will make a lot of blocks, so you probably will want to split the cost with someone when you do it.
